One of the best ways to reduce stress is to reduce the number of changes to be dealt with. This can be done by incorporating the following:
  • Get organized: the more regular the routine and the more organized, the less stressed
  • Set Goals: by identifying things that matter most to us, it is easier to prioritize
  • Prioritize: by giving precedence to daily tasks, it becomes easier to identify what is truly important.
  • Be on time: Rushing to and from appointments can be stressful. Always give yourself double the time you expect it to take.
  • Time tracking: a great exercise is to track how time is spent throughout the day. It is one of the most helpful tools to becoming more efficient.
  • Get enough sleep and try to have a regular bedtime.
  • Lighten the load: learn to say “no”. There don’t have to be elaborate reasons, just say, “no”
  • Delegate: it is one of the most empowering skills because we learn to rely on others to help us.
